A dynamic independent oil and gas company, with over 25 years of experience
The group in its present form commenced in 1986, when the current management bought U.S. and Latin American oil trading interests.
In 1989 a high degree of success in trading activities allowed for the acquisition of oil & gas producing properties in Latin America and Russia, moving the group into the upstream segment of the industry.
Throughout the 1990’s, Hispania supplied technology and production equipment to Russian companies, enabling them to increase their production. This established Hispania in the Russian market, which has proven to be a solid and long lasting business relationship.
In the last decade Hispania has concentrated its efforts on further developing its oil producing interests, and has succeeded in building a worldwide portfolio of high quality assets with proven reserves and significant upside potential.

Hispania began operations in Argentina in 1991 after acquiring “Area Puesto Guardian” in the “Noroeste Basin”. Operations in Argentina focused on redeveloping Puesto Guardian’s five oil fields which stretch over 633 km2. Hispania exited the block in 2014.

In 2006 a seismic acquisition campaign was carried out in Gariushkinskoye field. The interpretation of the processed seismic determined that the field’s reserves are higher than initially established, allowing for 30 additional development wells to be drilled by 2018.
